Data streaming
Data streaming is a method of delivery of selected UIA data to your newsreader (e.g. RSS, Atom, any XML format, etc.), intranet, or database. Regularly updated data is delivered continuously, via user-defined communication channels and formats. The content of the data stream is defined by the customer.
Under certain conditions, UIA data may also be incorporated into your own intranet or database. This may require involvement of your technical personnel.
All data streaming solutions are tailored to the customer's needs. They are billed according to the amount of work and data involved, and according to the subscription period. Note should be taken that requests for customized services are carefully reviewed for their appropriateness. The UIA retains the right to refuse any request.
Data selection criteria (content)
An example of a data stream is given below, but there are also many other possibilities. For a complete list of data selection criteria, please contact us, or visit the Customized services data selection criteria page.
An example of a data stream
A selection based on all future meetings of international organizations with members in Australia that focus on global warming. The list, with pre-defined details, could be available to you as an RSS feed that you and your colleagues consult whenever and wherever using any RSS feed reader. You could even embed such reader on a page in an intranet site. Naturally, the data you would see would be the most recent that have been compiled by UIA editors. In an even more advanced solution, if technically feasible, we could provide the data in any custom XML format and 'plug it into' your own database or other system.
