UIA website now supports OpenID

Since today, it is possible to log in to this website using OpenID.
Our login screen now shows: allowing users to log in using their OpenID URL rather than having to generate (and validate) yet another name and password.
I think OpenID is set to revolutionize the Internet for several reasons:
- no need to remember/keep name and password (and the corresponding e-mail address for name or password retrieval!)
- user does not have to provide his/her e-mail address to each of the websites
- faster and more secure to get to the desired content -> less of a barrier to log in -> increased communication and greater interconnectedness!
OpenID already is vigorously supported by AOL, BBC, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Novell, SourceForge, Sun, VeriSign, Yahoo! and other big/known players, and we can expect it will spread very fast. It is estimated that several hundred million users are already using OpenID to log in to (enabled) websites.
Cheers,
Tomi
